At the 2017 Complexcon event a glass work booth existed where Virgil Abloh and Takashi Murakami were screen printing messy over inked tees for a massive line of attendees. The designs were randomized by Kamilxabbas who was also participating and you essentially got what you got at the checkout. This version of the tee is a reference to the advertising logo signs of Tamiya Plastic Model Co. It’s an interesting mix considering Virgil enjoys repurposing every day manufacturing based symbols into his designs and Takashi has an interest in the company logos adding his name into the brand’s logo.
