A pair of tonal monogrammed pants produced under Virgil Abloh’s recent reign at Louis Vuitton. The pants have a jacquard woven 3D design of LV monogram covering it. The button features one of Virgil’s hardware signatures of warping the button. The length is a little long to allow for some stacking. Virgil has been introducing a more streetwear angle to the label that has always carried itself in a luxury regard for rich older guys to purchase. This pair of monogram denim surfaced a long time ago with Marc Jacobs who had some monogram heavy womenswear. The streetwear angle he’s showing attention to has always been around as Louis Vuitton has held a high place with other luxury brands in the logo and exclusivity loving streetwear and youth community. Ever since the days of Dapper Dan the monogram has been a signal to everyone from mature parents to their streetwear obsessed kids that someone has made a serious purchase. With Virgil on the label the monogram has been making its way to more men’s clothing which was much needed to fill an underserved desire for fun logo mania.
