There may be some reference of some historical bag that was shaped like this, some surmise that it resembles some pistol bags. Currently the best idea is that Demna is a fan of playing with convention and it’s rather accepted in our brains that bags, wallets, clutches are generally rectangular and at most circular. A triangle is a jarring shape for a bag and it caught many people’s attention becoming a popular item to stand out amongst others. Quite directly thinking outside of the box, or the rectangle and avoiding being square in a departure from the norm. No Doritos got on the bag.
