The collection named Faun after L'Après-Midi d'un Faune by Nijinsky, which was a debut for ballet in 1912 considered to be the birth of modern dance. The dance represented just the contrast Rick likes of high culture mixed with roughness and primitiveness. The new colors of the season were also references to the color pallet of the original designs for the ballet. The collection really emphasized the body and had many sleeveless pieces.
