The recent seasons of Balenciaga focused on the best parts of the brand, baggy and distressed staple pieces. This sweater is a Fair aisle sweater which is a general term for this type of complex colored pattern sweater owing it’s name to a small island Ik Scotland. The knit itself has been given an oversized and distressed treatment. What is interesting is the length of sleeve has been accounted for with the distressing to still end up even despite the fact that some pieces may be drooping lower than the rest after being slashed open. This gives the sweater a normal silhouette while having all the distressing and slashing pieces.
