A hybrid double breasted coat made of thick corduroy and glossy leather for sleeves. Featuring a large belt stitched onto the jacket for cinching the torso down.
It’s rare that you ever see a Comme Des Garcons piece from before the 90’s let alone a wearable men’s piece featured on the runway. This runway quite a lot of pieces, a large amount of which feature belts around the torso pulled in and tightened. The runway was rather normal looking compared to modern CDG but most of the style came from the belts, and small deviations on the men’s jackets, along with interesting shirt patterns and collars that were paired under the suiting.
