90’s Velcro Bondage Boot

Size: marking worn off, known as size 41

Condition: used, sole near toe of left boot is separated a bit near toe

Pair of lesser seen metal strap futuristic punk boots from Dirk. Features straps that are part of the leather upper itself and bond together to close, as opposed to just having straps stitched on. The sole near front has the bottom layer peeling away a bit, small separation like a little mouth lol, otherwise great condition.

Dirk Bikkembergs was notable for being a part of the “Antwerp 6”, a group of fashion students all graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts. This group includes Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, and Honorary member Martin Margiela. They minus Margiela set out with a rented truck of their collections and rocked London Fashion week and the rest is history. They still all meetup and keep in touch today.
