The “sta” or star pattern is very popular amongst people interested in old school Bape and is usually seen across hoodies and jackets. There is also a reversible tee with sta inside it, but this is a straight soft jersey tee in a rare XL with the sta on it, great for summer.
Bape made an extremely important impact on fashion in the early 2000’s with its large colorful designs and specifically the shoes. Bapestas are a take on what was once a popular yet bland Nike Air Force one, Nigo (the creator of Bape) decided to essentially make his own, wilder interpretation of Airforces with a shooting Bape “Sta” and wild materials and vibrant colors. This led companies including Nike to begin pushing the boundaries of the designs and colors for their shoes.
