In 1993 Kobayashi Setsumasa created General Research, but has been renamed several times to fit the activity intended of the clothing, most recently mountain research to reflect his love for the outdoors. The mountain research collections are designed when the designers retreat Tokyo to the mountains for each season’s designs. Ever since General Research the lines have been utilitarian and militant for the most part with references to politics and even old punk movements. The popular line of “parasite” items featuring multiple pockets on pieces has gained popularity, this tee features two shoulder pockets and a logo as well as clamp hooks. It comes in a strange size L as most tees we see are standard M.
