The first iteration of the Margiela Collaboration with Converse One String limited editions. The pair was an interesting idea that actually fits well with the image of Margiela. This first release featured a dark blue material underneath some white paint, the paint on this apparently cracks off less frequently and lasts longer on this version. The idea was to slowly decay the outer skin of the shoe resulting in a contrasting color cracking through to the other side. Surprisingly little heel drag on these as most pairs tend to be grinded down in back.
