Say what you will about the brand and it’s inspiration but it’s made some pretty cool graphics, especially toward the early days. The graphics are obviously influenced by punk culture and whatever you believe about it, the product produced resonates with people either on an aesthetic or amusing level. Anyways the interesting part of this design is the use of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels on the patches, which is quite a jab/irony considering they were the fathers of anti-capitalist thought and associated with communism. The selling of a product, with the mass packaging of a person’s seemingly “individual” image in mind, for profit using these two’s image is a strange idea, but sort of sculpted the vein ERD exists in now.
