Maison Martin Margiela 2008 Ingognito Shades

The first glasses that Martin Margiela produced and used in his last collection under his own label. This particular one is the Incognito I, which is taller in the glass than the Incognito II that is more common. The glasses were used to represent a censor bar to block out the wearers identity and was placed on all the models faces, similar to the idea of covering the faces with fabric as he did to mimic mannequins.
