The 2001 collection by Junya Watanabe featured many poems written on things ranging from a Levi’s collaboration to shirts, and track tops. This particular top features a hidden technical hood inside. The poem reads
“I’m shy to speak about love
But I just want to tell you
To be loved by you is my joy
Your dream is my life
My dream is to be
With you eternally”
These pieces, especially the denim (some of which is on this page) have grown incredibly popular in recent years, despite actually being quite popular in editorials since release. It seems that generations just connect with the human feeling of wanting to be wanted, but being to scared to even request it of each other.
